Will the real Ian McKellen please stand up?

Perhaps you've seen this youtube video of Hunter Davis's Sir Ian McKellen imitation (if Sir Ian were to perform Baby Got Back). Hunter Davis came to a radio station to do an interview, and then the real Sir Ian called in - but turned out to be fake. And then the real Sir Ian actually called in - or was he a fake too?

Read the story here.

Listen to the half hour radio program here.

Hunter Davis's Youtube channel is here.

"Oh my God, Becky. Look at her BUTT."

I think I might have snorted up part of a vital organ judging by the sound I just made.

In the comedy theater of my mind I've always heard "Baby Got Back" in frantic German. I don't know why.

"Oh! Mein! Gott! Becky! An ihrem hintern schauen!
Es ist so groß!"

Was that really Ian McKellen and does he like big butts? is really the pull quote that has me wondering: well, does he?

I wonder if Ask. can help solve this mystery?

My brain just won't match that voice with his face for some reason. Major dissonance.

Ah, I knew that name sounded familiar! His Ian McKellen impression never fails to make me laugh.

His dramatic rendition of the Mr. Bucket commercial theme song is pretty much one of my favorite things.

I don't know what any of that means whatsoever.

Maybe Glee can use this one instead of Jonathan Coulton's.

My brain just won't match that voice with his face for some reason.

It's probably because the frame rate is so strange, and the audio isn't well-synced. With smoother motion, it would probably be more believable.

'If we were to draw a graph of my process, of my method, it would be something like this: Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian, action, wizard "You shall not pass!", cut. Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian.'
