If nothing else, this justifies the existence of tumblr.

But in the same vein (if not from the same arm), my RSS reader follows Retronaut, Shorpy, I Love Old Magazines and (Mostly) Forbidden Zone, all serving to keep me connected to the past and thankful I'm not living there.

The main theme I am getting from this tumblr is that we used to pathologize the female body even more than we do today. Women in general, in fact, seem to have been viewed in a dim light.

Our high school biology teacher mentioned this practice, perhaps while she was verifying that everyone knew that shaking up a Coca Cola and blasting it up the babymaker was not an effective method of contraception.
