I'd love to hear Morrissey covering that song.

The name of that band is Girl In A Coma and they have a song called "Cemetery Baby?" Are they intentionally trying to remind me of my parents getting the names of Smiths songs wrong in the 80s?

If you didn't click on the Kristin Gamez link, you should. Her story behind the video is both interesting and illuminating.

This popped up on my Facebook feed this morning via GIAC and I loved the video. Love it even more now that I know it's inspired by La Llorona. Nina's wailing vocals really go together with the story.

Your parents know there's a band called The Smiths?

Please commence removing yourself from my turfed yard area.

They knew in the mid-80s that the band I liked with the great guitarist and the singer who was always a little bit flat was called "the Smiths" or "the Joneses" or something like that and that they hated it just a little bit less than they hated The Cure.

Smith's fans are old enough to have 30 year old kids.

You're not supposed to achieve vibrato by pinching the front of your neck and wiggling. Kids these days.

Kids these days, indeed.

Hence the self deprecating comment I made about my own advanced age.
