The Government vs Turtle Island

Turtle Island. Seems innocuous enough. Another example of an overbearing government agency. Surely there are greater threats to the health and well being of North Carolinians and its visitors than Eustace Conway.

There might be an interesting FPP about how modern building codes interact with historial preservation. This is a paranoid rant.

I don't understand why the county couldn't kick him off his land through the time-honored mechanism of raising his property taxes until he couldn't afford to pay them any more.
