Mining Boom are a Perth band whose videos for the fuzzed out pop songs Telecom and Craigie (NSFW language) use found footage to invoke and skewer a sense of nostalgic Australiana.

Great find.

Telecom: This takes me back! I had forgotten about STD for long distance calls.
Craigie: Recalls the same feelings I have about the suburb itself: meh. Craigie, jesus. I learned to drive in Craigie (Perth's my hometown). The stories the kids used to tell about Craigie Senior High!
