I humbly propose that dancing grandma videos should be the new cute kitten videos.

She makes my heart feel as light and fluffy as her hair, and I smilled as sweet as her mint green outfit. I just love Nanas, and this one is really special.

Someone should make and mail her a sea-foam green colored shirt with "I could dance all fucking day..." silk-screened onto it.

Ahhhhh...
This makes me happy.

This is, without a doubt, the best thing I've seen all week.

I usually hate Nanas -- wrinkly old things, smelling of wee -- but I'll make an exception in this case.

That was a wonderful video, thank you. I needed something to counter the news about Stompin' Tom, and this did it perfectly. I laughed out loud at her final line because I had forgotten your note in the post about the "wee little curse." So sweet and funny.

If anybody actually works in a place where it would not be safe to watch this, quit your fucking job tomorrow.

I aspire to become this nana.

Submitted for your approval: my (then 85, currently 89 year-old) grandmother dancing what she calls "The Mechanical."

grandmother dancing what she calls "The Mechanical."

I've been pretty stressed out and depressed lately, but you know what? Humans are kind of great.

Key to having fun: not giving a damn what anyone thinks of you and just GETTING DOWN. Some wise souls figure that out in their senior years. Really wise souls figure it out when they're young.

Note to self: time to do more dancing.

Dang.

One of my grandmas mostly refused to wear trousers. The other owned a pair of leather ones. (Albeit ones with an elastic waist...)

This is 1000 times more charming than that "dance like nobody's watching" girl at the airport that showed up here a few months ago. Nana doesn't give a shit about going viral.

Love that she's got the Life Alert button and is still dancing.

"HELP I'M GETTING DOWN WITH THE BEAT AND I CAN'T GET UP!"

(No seriously, it's awesome that whatever else she's got going on, she's still grooving.)

I'm stuck at home with a nasty head cold and I just did a little chair dance with both Nanas. Thanks for the smiles!

If I am this cool at 88, I will consider it a major personal victory. Go Nana!
