I hate it when an FPS puts you on a rail.

Now that I've also watched the second one: what was meant by нефть/NEFT (on the "medikit" in the /jet)? The word means oil, but is there some sort of political metaphor in there that I'm missing?

Also, while the videos weren't necessarily my cup of tea, simply because as non-CGI versions of video games it's stuff we've seen many times before, I love the unabashed Russian-ness of these. It's a different sort of energy from that which comes out of Hollywood and the slick CGI- and bro-heavy blandness the US/Australia typically gets. They videos may not have had anything too new in them, but they were still a lot of fun.

And they make me wish I hadn't forgotten my years of Russian learnin' ... dammit

Neat! Reminded me of a live-action version of Mirror's Edge.

Haha, pharm's too quick!

This looks very much like what I do on a regular basis.

I enjoyed this.

It clearly stuck to the theme of running and pursuit without trying to explain too much to the audience. They hint that whatever is in the safe is important because the device is shiny and glows. Which was important I think because the rest of the location that the object, including the safe failed to convey that importance.

So then we are off and running and the chase becomes more and more intense; more pursuers, guns, increased athleticism by the runner. Once this starts getting less believable the filmmakers demonstrate why the device is so special by making it work. I especially liked that the runner was just as surprised as I at the results of using the device. It sold me on the "oh, now I see why so many people were protecting it" sense.

Also.. Mirror's Edge, but more enjoyable since I don't have to control the character this way.

What the heck was that? Music video? Audition short? Parkour wet dream?

Does point out that the tech to make real films is pretty much in the hands of anyone with a gopro and the energy to jump from wing to wing of the jets at a jet museum, and just enough attention span to work out a bit of plot.

There are easier ways to get your hands on a vacuum tube, but this looks more fun.

Below that the "bottle" says "водка," i.e. vodka. It's just a handy, gimmicky vodka bottle he uses to disinfect his dog bite.

This is what it's like to have a GoPro for a head.
