World Wide Maze, a Chrome Experiment

World Wide Maze is a "Chrome Experiment" that turns any website or search into a playable three-dimensional "Monkey Ball"-style maze game. You can control via the keyboard or link to your phone to turn it into a tilt-sensitive remote control. (Chrome browser only, obviously.)

Spoiler: The side-bar is a dead end.

FYI: if you play a favorite blue site, it is quantifiably harder than the site in green. If you are going for a speed run, don't go for the extra points in the Sidebar.... I lost 200 seconds working through elevators...

I LOVE that we all tried it on metafilter.

3574 points on metafilter.com! More seriously, I'd like to see this 'phone-as-a-controller' adapted to give me the 3D mouse I've always wanted for modelling. All the sensors are there to do that in my Nexus 4 I think.

They nuked the Google reader for this?!

The secret is that Google will turn over the Internet to anyone who successfully navigates the ball through all 300,000 read items of a single Google Reader account. They had to set the deadline at July 1 or people would never put down their devices. Nothing else makes sense.

Just finishing the migration of rss, mail, calendar, and contacts away from Google. Damned Google Voice & Play keeping me tied to an account... for now.

Porn isn't three-dimensional with this in the way I was expecting.

My phone is getting no response from the link that gets provided. And yet, it is an Android phone. And more importantly, I want it to work.

Yeah, not working for me either. I've tried chrome on Android and on my desktop. Someone wants me to get some work done today, I fear.

I have Chrome beta and regular Chrome on my Galaxy Nexus and it only worked in regular Chrome.

Unfortunately they made it too hard to use. Too many hoops to jump through, & the wrong kind of apps in the Google play store. They suck.

You only have three months left to try this script on Google Reader.

The secret is that Google will turn over the Internet to anyone who successfully navigates the ball through all 300,000 read items of a single Google Reader account.

They need not to do this. Because my record in Gamecube Super Monkey Ball on one credit is Expert 34, I'm probably capable of reaching Master with practice, and I am DETERMINED.
