Incautious Porn - using your incautious impulse to create art "We captured more than 100,000 public comments on porn and sexually-oriented websites in which users left their mobile phone number to male/female/transgender performers, where everyone could see it, and we turned them into a series of paintings which you can purchase."

Is it art? Is it extortion (you can pay €10 to check their database, and €1000 to be removed from it)? Is it a commentary on the manipulation of data in the modern age?

This post was deleted for the following reason: This seems more on the squalid-extortion side and not something we need to be sending traffic to. -- LobsterMitten

Yes.

So you can just do blackmail openly now and not get arrested? Where the hell are the local police?

It's an extortion scheme very thinly disguised as fart. Also, the randomness in the fart is lazy and boring.

Why are we giving this site any traffic?

Finally, something to put in step 2 of your Internet marketing plan!

I have a database, and for only €7.50 I'll search it for any text string you want. (If you'd like to cover all your bases, I offer three searches for €20.00 -- check for your name, phone number and social security number! Better safe than sorry, right?)

If the information isn't there, you're in the clear. And if it is, I offer removal for the discounted rate of only €49.99. Much more economical than these guys.

We're not the bad guys!

Oh, it's nice to know that assholes in Europe use this refrain, too.

We're not the bad guys!

Yes, you are. Maybe not the only bad guys, but certainly some of them.

We're not the bad guys!

I'm not sure what else you call it when you intentionally profit off of the shame and suffering of others.

I'd love to see a lawyer chime in on this. Is it extortion? I'm not convinced. I thought (and am probably wrong) that extortion was centered around the threat of revelation of previously concealed information--I'll tell your secret. If a user willingly posts their number in a very public place, where's the secret?

My sweet revenge plan of posting my ex's phone number in hundreds of Youporn comments is finally paying off!
