Silk is a drawing program for your browser or iDevice. It produces flowing elegant images set to meditative background music.

Silk is written by (MetaFilter's own) yurivish, and previous versions have been posted previously, and previouslier. This latest version has a bunch of new features in the control panel worth checking out: drag the slider and turn the "Mirror" on and off to get different symmetries, and drag around the palette to draw with a multiple-color brush.

You can also experiment with different drawing speeds to see how that affects the image, but the drawing algorithm is so nice that just holding down the mouse button without moving it makes a lovely image.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Heya, it's neat but if it got posted about as recently as a few months ago and posted about before that as well it's probably not really something where a new post on the front page makes a ton of sense. -- cortex

(Full disclosure: I've exchanged a few memails with the author about the new features, and received a notification from him about the new release.)

Omg, Silk is one of my total faves! Way cool that MeFite yurivish created it. *runs to the website to play.
