Take the 1980s Music Quiz (via Net Buzz). Guess the song and artist of each. Hint: No two songs are by the same artist, and all were produced between 1980-1989. 222 lines from 222 songs from 222 different artists. This is quality time-wasting.

Didn't this already make the rounds about three years ago?

I got 4, 70, 92, 120, & 151 only (atlhough two maybe three did sound like songs I know, but so many songs sound like that) I suck at this :)

12 & 26 are Chuck Berry lyrics. (maybe more, I got bored). And of course probably half of the songs copped his licks. OMG, I'm talking like Keith Richards...

Oh dear. I got 72 (song and band) out of the first 100 without even stopping to think about the ones that I know I know but couldn't just think of right off the top of my head.

I need a new hobby.

I question the accuracy of some of these. The line from "Sweet Child of Mine" is actually "Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place where as a child I'd hide", not lie. And I swear some of these songs are from 1990 or later.

I knew 23% of them without stopping to think too much about the ones I know I know, but can't quite place.

I am not sure whether or not to be embarrassed that I not only knew 207 on sight, I could sing the whole songs, and did. Alone. In my room. I gotta stop reading MeFi on vacation.

12 & 26 are Chuck Berry lyrics

12 is Van Halen, Jump, and 26 is Joan Jett, I love Rock and Roll.
I know almost every damn one of these lines. And not only that, I can sing the rest of the lines to almost every one of em. I am such a loser. Hey, give me a break. I grew up in the eighties, and played in an awful lot of bands....
loser.

Dreama: did you spend the entire decade with a radio glued to your ear?? 207, awesome!

Starvingartist: yeah, it's "Dark in the city", not "Darken the city", too.

I got 60 out of the first 100, without working on the ones I couldn't quite place (and lots of the ones I didn't know were artists like Winger who didn't get much airplay here in Aus). Hey, I loved the 80s! Is everyone else walking around singing Duran Duran and feeling all nostalgic now?
