Come Mr. Taliban I've seen a few .swf based on this theme, but this one is fairly funny.

Still makes me smile, though.

They're all horribly lame.

Just because it's patriotic, that doesn't mean I am required to find it entertaining and that any mediocre joke -- made in flash, or otherwise -- will make me laugh.

Lighten up, Francis.

Sorry, it's still not funny.

Y'know Dark Messiah, considering that we Americans were the victims, repeat victims of the 9/11 attacks, a little loosening of the PC humor police rules might be apropos. I think a crude laugh at the Taliban's (and to be fair Bush and Powell's) expense might be allowable.
That said I gotta admit the one on stileproject.com was a lot funnier and more cathartic.

By the way, has anyone asked Harry Belafonte what hge thinks of all this?

PC humor police

I think the point is that it's lame crap, not that it's un-PC.

jonmc: Belafonte was asked about Taliban parodies of his Banana Boat Song (Day-O), but he said he "hadn't heard enough" to comment. He added that it must be "people who are most untalented attempting to write some ditty to the song." Belafonte said that "it's not unexpected," because the song is so popular. "It's always erupting and emerging in places you'd least suspect." The singer also said he is constantly told that people sing it in the shower. "There's something about those vowels that make you think for an instant you're Pavarotti."
