Legendary comedian and Tonight Show favorite, Jonathan Winters, who inspired many other comedians, has died at 87.
This post was deleted for the following reason: Heya, there really has to be a slightly beefier post that can be made about Winters that includes more than a brief obit and a wikipedia link. -- cortex
One of the all-time greats.
I'll be saying "gar-bahge" for years to come, yet. Godspeed, sir.

I think my first exposure to him was on Mork & Mindy, actually. And even to my youthful brain it was painfully clear that for all of Robin Williams' lightning-fast wit and improv skill, Winters was at least an order of magnitude better -- not just because he was faster, but because he didn't just fall back on non-sequiturs or clowning when he otherwise came up dry. Because Jonathan Winters never came up dry.
An amazing talent.
