This post was deleted for the following reason: This isn't so much "a cool thing on the internet" as "a cool thing in the real world." If you want to try again tomorrow with some web-based content about the band, that will make a better post. -- restless_nomad

We saw him play two years ago in a barn in woodstock and it was cool. For the last few songs, he sat on the floor with us clustered around him like something out of preschool.

Holy hell, I was planning on being in Taiwan in November anyway!

I saw Jeff play last year and he seemed ... a little nervous or fragile? But pretty fucking great.

I'd never seen them before. It was fantastic to see him play, but in a way it was better just to see that this person who's had such an impact on my life, and then kind of disappeared, is doing okay. He spent a lot of time thanking us, in a really sincere way, for being there. He almost seemed surprised.

Also: I was 31 at the time and I was among the 10 or so oldest people there and god dammit that is not cool you guys

Seeing Jeff Mangum live made me wish the whole band was there.

I went to a Jeff Mangum (with Spillane and some other folks) show in Denver last year. It was really, really good. Dude seemed kind of nervous, but his voice was in really great shape, and I'll take a reverent, sing-along sort of crowd over the usual too-cool talky drunk pre-gaming-for-the-bars set any day.

I wonder how hard it will be to get tickets? I missed him in Asheville last time.

And penduluum, I'm so much older than you, I'll make you feel young again!

Look, I like tape recorders and mescaline as much as the next guy but is this really front page material? Flagged, moving on.
