I'm kind of falling in love with this tiny corner of reddit wherein users post their ms paint compositions. No two people use paint the same way, and there's a really good mix of modest skill and supreme awesomeness. Then there's /r/MSPaintBattles, the off-shoot of /r/photoshopbattles for "those who can't afford Photoshop." The two guilds waged war recently and comedy gold was produced.

The default subreddits are the best. I love thousands of "some 90 year old mentioned god on Facebook so I quoted Carl Sagan" posts.

/r/atheism is the worst. My pet conspiracy theory is that it's a default subreddit so that you are forced to create an account to remove it.

I enjoy r/Polandball. The rules require that every shape must be drawn free-hand using MS Paint.

Wiggly mouse-drawn comics where balls represent different countries. They poke fun at national stereotypes and the "international drama" of their diplomatic relations. Polandball combines history, geography, Engrish, and an inferiority complex.

I cannot comprehend how the supremely awesome pictures are done in MS Paint. Like I had to do a check to make sure the tool I was thinking of as MS Paint was actually called MS Paint because it seemed that impossible to me.

If you're joining Reddit, make sure to install the Reddit Enhancement Suite. Adds a lot of handy features/functionality and such.

Oh, man. This is fun.

Someone on this site once compared Reddit to what Usenet used to be. It's a wild and woolly place, with a lot of garbage, but also with a lot of genuinely awesome stuff.

The default subreddits shine a light on the stereotypical neckbearded Reddit shitlord, but it takes just a few minutes to adjust things to your own taste (and sanity).
