I can't get past 23

I can't get past 23 on this damn Flash game. All you have to do is click on a ball to keep it in the air, but it's tough.

The game has been linked before, but the URL moved. I'm so addicted to kickups, I've been following it around. (I think this is the third or fourth url-shift.) It's certainly addictive.

Eh. Doesn't that get boring? Personally, I'd like a better opponent than gravity or the bottom of my mouse pad. It certainly ain't no Slimeball.

How can someone possible hit that thing 2999 times without it hitting the ground?!

That gets incredibly boring after 20.

Sim DeskJob is much more fun.

Probably because there hasn't been time to archive it yet, seeing as how it just appeared in this thread from the day before yesterday.

What idiot posted "Slimeball" here?! Ahh, man!

Oh well. I wasn't going to do anything for the rest of the work day anyhow...

This is one of the more addictive ones I've played lately. Helps your FPS skills too. :)

I got upto level 17 in Reflections, then my brains turned to mush and I gave up ("dma" btw..)..

Did I post the original kickups game in the previous thread? I saved a copy of it on my comp.. Mail me if you want the nice flash .exe :)

That's funny -- I found it by doing a vanity search and landing on a site called eatonweb.

Try a mouse macro utility. Run a horizontal motion while clicking **very** fast. That should get in a few thousand reps.

the blue slime cheats... horribly.

I can't get past 23

and yet, officially, the existence of a metafilter cabal is still denied.

You guys are playing the wrong version of Slimeball. Try this one, called One Slime. Much smoother action and more intuitive controls (the "up" arrow works, so you don't have to use the spacebar). The Pathetic White Slime is easy to beat, Angry Red Slimonds is harder, the Slime Master is really tough, and I haven't been able to get more than 3 points against Psycho Slime. I have been playing this way too much.

I just got my butt kicked by the pathetic white slime. I am a loser. (or so the game tells me.)

Bounce your serve backwards, then launch it over his head by bouncing it again at the net as it comes back. On his serves, if the return is short, you can actually hit the ball down if you jump ahead of time so that your slimey guy thingy is coming back down when he hits the ball.

Adding further to your (and my) humiliation, my 8 year old son Colin says that when I DO finally beat Psycho Slime, I'll have to beat him twice, and any points he scores in the first game carry over into the second game. He knows, of course, because he's beaten all the levels.

It took me about 30 tries but I beat that blue motherfucker in Slime Volleyball.
