"Why We Won't Say Torture"

The NYT attempts to defend their standardization of official terms like enhanced interrogation, targeted strikes and indefinite detainees.

I posted this earlier and it was deleted because I called the activity by the NYT "cowardly." Which was seen as "editorializing."

So, please, don't delete this post as I now leave it up to the reader to decide if refusing to call something torture is good or not.
