Cute cake packs mean number of calories

Eat at your own peril Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, you've got to be kidding me.

So I walk into The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf today and see a new item in the snack display: a cute "mini" birthday cake. I ask the guy behind the counter how it tastes, and without answering that question he thoughtfully suggests I take note of how many calories it has. I can't believe my eyes: 990 calories, which pretty much means 1000 calories. With a typical coffee shop drink that's almost a whole day's worth of calories right there. Holy cow. I'd better tell Mayor Bloomberg about this, there out to be a law against it. But at least there's fair warning on the sign in front of the cake.
