Well, if he had three good legs, I'd consider him.

Lovely person, lovely story, lovely show; Land and Sea is one of the top four arguments for continuing funding for the CBC.

Oh, I love her.

And I miss my Grandma. Hi, Grandma! *waves skyward*

This powerhouse of a woman backs down from nothing and works
as hard as any man.
Let's respect this woman's awesomeness by not belittling her entire gender with phrases like this one.

I'm at the end of the video now. I still love her, but I can't help but wonder what she smells like, what with the trout hands and the bear grease and all.

I love her already. Look at that energy!

(And it's also nice to hear a regional accent on a CBC host, too. Too bad we get so little of that nationally. No, Rex Murphy doesn't count.)

I came in to ask about the accent on the first guy, and then I heard Newfoundland. Makes sense now.

And yeah, she's totally amazing. Thanks for posting this. What a great show.

Hear, hear. Man, I'm still carrying a torch for Danielle Charbonneau.

Wow what a great lady.
Her family must be so proud of her.

Mercer counts, as does Cathy Jones from 22 Minutes, but I was thinking more news / public affairs / general announcing.

The old days of Marketplace, for example. Here's Joan Watson on RRSPs.

ZaphodB, there's not much French on anglo CBC now, yeah. Chantal Hébert is the only name that comes to mind.

(Have finished that Land and Sea episode. Want Celie to adopt me.)

Wonderful. I have never had any interest in hunting before, but now I want to go bear hunting with Celie.

Funny, I think of Mercer's how these days as falling into exactly that category. I certainly think "that's interesting" more often than I laugh these days. I don't know whether or not that is the intent....
