All right, this made me laugh:

and here's the Kony 2013 picture I asked them to make as their Facebook Profile Picture if they won an iPad:

Wow, one guy actually made it past Riddle #2, and seemed to get a nice chuckle out of it. Clearly he's played "solve riddles for an iPad" before.

At this point it's starting to seem like the main difference between now and twenty years ago is that, twenty years ago, the annoying 12-year-old jerk I knew in middle school who loved making stupid prank phone calls didn't actually write up the results of his idiotic pranks and publish them publicly, whereas now that seems to be a pretty popular thing to do for people of all ages. The internet has given us so many new opportunities that sometimes I just have to fall on my knees and thank the lord.

Twenty years ago this album went double platinum.

Now before you ask "Don't you have anything better to do?" let me answer that for you. No, I do not.

This needs to be the permanent metafilter tagline.

That's some good trolling there Lou.

You mean I've hung on to my Prince Albert in a can for all the years for NOTHING?

It's depressing to see how many of my Facebook friends have fallen for the "Like this photo if you want a free iPad, and tell us what color you want" Facebook scam.

Meh, just seems like a test as to whether people have to much free time. It's like gambling.

"Maybe it's fake, maybe it's real, but the only thing at stake is my time."

People are idle, and you put something that took a moderate amount of effort and there was no risk to answering riddles.

I'd really like this guy and David Thorne to somehow bump into each other and get sucked into a mutual perpetual prank loop. If it involves each of them sincerely believing the other is a millionaire supermodel, better still.

I think this is terrible. Maybe I am just a humorless clod, but why give this pointless practical joke and gigantic waste of time any publicity at all? I am all for shaming people who deserve to be shamed, but do you deserve to be shamed just because you're responding to a contest?

I don't think there's anything wrong with surreal pranks but this guy just isn't funny.

It's interesting how the iPad has become this sort of symbol of the amazing thing to win in a contest. Contests that would never be successful if they offered $500 cash do great if they offer a free iPad.

1. Click on photo
2. Comment "cat"
3. Watch and see what happens

The ones who truly bewilder me are the ones who 'like' the ones they're told to comment on, or vv.

I would buy that shirt.

And wear it whilst sitting on the coach with nothing better to do.

But it has to be red.

It wasn't funny but it was a bit cruel. What was the actual point? And I don't care if I'm called humourless. Long may I remain so if this even has a smile to it

I went in, expecting real riddles.

It would've been pretty awesome, had they been real, super-hard riddles.
