Neil Gaiman is editing the Guardian books site for the day

Neil Gaiman, who has a new book coming out (previously), has taken over the Guardian books site. As well as many links from the editorial page, you can also read his top ten mythical creatures and even write a novel with him (sort of).

Thank God the Guardian doesn't run Page 3 girls.

I was told about Lilith by my barmitzvah teacher as a boy: how she insisted on having sex on top, a crime so great that Adam was forced to disassociate himself from her, and how she did not mind and went off and had sex with demons instead...

This explains so much.

For some reason, Mythic Boy Jesus is giving me flashbacks of that Twilight Zone episode with people wished away into a cornfield. And it is amusing me to combine the two in my head.

She was the only one who seemed even faintly responsible or grown up in the story.

She may be the only responsible grown up in all of agrees myth, which is not really known for it's emotionally stable figures.

That should be "Greek myth." Oh, for the legendary Edit Window of the Ages....

The Guardian may be doomed along with the rest of the dinosaur media, but God love 'em, at least they're going down swinging.

Also, remember when Mythic Boy Jesus melted Spock's three-dimensional chess set and got all creepily obsessed with Yeoman Rand?
