James Gandolfini, best known for his work as Tony Soprano on The Sopranos, a role for which he won multiple Emmys and Screen Actors Guild awards, as well as a Golden Globe, died today of a stroke. He was 51.

Heart attack or stroke? I think TMZ called it heart attack, and the Variety story has been updated (while the URL hasn't).
