You can be a black male on the west coast minding your own business and get shot to death by someone presuming you're up to no good because you're black in their neighborhood, or on the east coast. George Zimmerman is found not guilty after shooting Trayvon Martin dead, and Black parents give sad lessons to their kids that from coast to coast, their lives are not valued. Previously.

The NAACP has opened a petition to try to get the Justice Department to file civil rights charges against George Zimmerman for the death of Trayvon Martin.
