Dan Bergstein, Sparknotes blogger (and best known for blogging about the Twilight series), has posted some YouTube instructional videos on How to Knit a Scarf, How to Make a Pumpkin Pie, and How to Wrap a Present. Please note that Dan does not actually know how to do any of these things, and that if you do have these skills viewing these videos might be slightly traumatizing.

At least he didn't call them "You're doing it wrong."

This did nothing for me until he pulled out the stapler. Gold, pure gold.

I'm going to sue this evil bastard for revealing the secrets of my extra-special xmas gift wrapping techniques.

Sometimes I watch makeup application tutorial videos. I want to see him do one of those. On himself.

The best part of the present video is the terrible camera angle so all you see is Dan from the chin up.

I was lukewarm on the idea until this line: 'You don't have to measure anything, cause nobody's expecting much of you.' accompanied by a shifty look.

These are great!

If you don't want to make a scarf, you can just make a...

snake blanket.

1) As an anal-retentive gift wrapper, I enjoyed the gift wrapping one.

2) I had no idea that Sparknotes was anything other than the Cliffs Notes Of The Present. So huh.

On Julia Child's cooking show Julia once knocked a raw chicken she was cutting up off the cutting board and onto the floor. She leaned down, picked it up, rinsed it off under the faucet, and continued where she left off. Meanwhile she looked straight into the camera and said "Remember, you're alone in that kitchen."

Nothing shifty about Julia.

Haunted Eggs

Now that's a great way to add some elegance to a Subway giftcard!

Man, whatever happened to SparkNotes? I used it all the time in high school, and the discussion boards were full of decent discussion. But now the boards and directories are gone and literary analysis seems like an afterthought compared to the 24/7 lifestyle and teen entertainment blog over on "SparkLife." Like the web needed another one of those.
