Oh, GOD, I needed that.

Cute, until I noticed that the adult dog is collared to the machine, with no choice but to plod along. Just sayin', I would never do that to my doggie.

The one-paw solution makes him look like he is keeping time with the music. I am well pleased.

Short Attention Sp: your dog, based on the photo, does not appear to be in quarantine and in need of exercise to maintain health. This is a fairly common practice for physical therapy, quarantine, etc.

Ah, point taken. Thank you.

It's pretty impressive that the brindle adult male never stepped on the puppy, even as it went zinging by on the conveyor belt. Dogs have such amazing proprioception, especially when you consider that they can't see their feet (even the front ones!)

The look of bewilderment and fundamental difficulty figuring out how to use it is pretty much me that time I tried to use a ski lift.

The big guy's collar might be tied to the treadmill's estop, not the frame.

I really hope that's the case, I had the same thought. My pup suggested a rabbit in front of that machine would eliminate the need for the leash.

(That is one cute puppy, you can just see the little bugger trying to figure out that contraption!)

Looks like it us time to update my OkCupid profile. Likes: Videos of animals walking on treadmills to songs from Rocky movies.

But how do you feel about November? ("You're the best -- AROUND!" is the only acceptable answer.)

Sorry, I wasn't ignoring you. I was watching 3 minutes and 10 seconds of a cat on a treadmill. November obviously falls under the Karate Kid clause.

Out of respect to the edit window, I didn't change that to Karate Kitten immediately after hitting Post Comment.

We used to have to tie the dogs the treadmill to get them to stay on there. Now, when we fire it up, they fight each other to be first on it, and will cheerfully run for however long we let them (about an hour at 6mph).

Since our dogs are shorthaired, this is a lifesaver in severely cold weather - they get positively nutty without enough exercise.

This is pretty much my precise and forever reaction to treadmills, which are terrible baffling contraptions sent from the devil himself.

I thought the iconic "treadmill song" was Here It Goes Again, and it did seem to fit the situation better when I used it.
