Strikes on Syria as Early as Thursday

White-House spokeman Jay Carney has said it would be "fanciful" to think that anyone other than Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces was responsible for the chemical attack. The Obama administration plans to declassify a report in the next couple days regarding their belief that there is an air-tight circumstantial case that the Syrian regime was behind the chemical attack. Meanwhile, The United Nations inspectors probing the possible use of chemical weapons in Syria postponed a visit to a second site today so the team’s safety could be ensured. Possibly beginning on Thursday, the US military may hit Syria with three days of missile strikes.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Open Syria thread from two days ago (and that's ignoring the other one about twerking), maybe keep it to there for now and let the "may happen" turn into "did happen" before we start a new thread. -- cortex
