That was terrific, thanks! Reminds me a bit of the Ballerina Project (a great series of shots that, unfortunately, they really want you to subscribe to see these days: http://ballerinaproject.com/blog/). One of the things I love about ballet is how even the smallest of movements is, really, utterly unlike anything one does just by chance. When you take that extraordinarily controlled and self-conscious style of movement out into the workaday world the contrast between the shlumpy way most of us move most of the time and the intensity and control of the way the ballet dancer moves is just palpable.

If you love city dancing I cannot recommend Girl Walk All Day enough. It starts out balletic and then gets funky. previously
