This reminds me of someone I used to work with years ago. He used to end his memos and letters with acronyms. I asked him what the letters stood for. He claimed they were the titles of some companies and organizations he had founded.
I asked him, "but what do they stand for?" He told me they stood for whatever you wanted them to and that was the beauty of them. No longer would the consumer have thrust on them some sort of meaning; rather they would derive whatever meaning they wanted.
He was a total loon.

actually, MAYORBOB, it's a common literary trait of post-modern texts called the "empty signifier" and it's really quite interesting. but you probably call all post-modern writers "total loons" too, right?

There was a comical musical duo (which later became a trio, unfortunately) in Vancouver back in the early-to-mid-'80's called No Fun. They were very amusing. 'Come on Kids and Be Like Us' was one of their high points, in my opinion.
One of their schticks was that they were sponsored by GORGO...COSMIC GREEN CHEWBAR WITH FIZZY FRUIT FLAVOUR, bars of which they would toss into the crowd during the show. I had a couple of Gorgo bars from No Fun shows stashed away way back when - I wonder where they got to....
This is what I thought of when I saw the link above. That's all.
