The Woman Trapped on the Internet: First the internet thought mysterious Korean woman ‘Chip-chan’ was a corpse. Now they think she simply finds it impossible to tear herself away from the internet.
This post was deleted for the following reason: There's an interesting story in here potentially but right now nobody seems to know what that story is so we're left with just kinda This Lady Sure Seems Crazy material right now. -- cortex
This is some viral thing for a new Park Chan-wook movie, right?

I'm not really feeling the best of the web here. Isn't this just gawking over the internet at a woman with a mental illness?

What's worse than being mentally ill? Being mentally ill while 4chan obsesses about you.
If she's actually mentally ill and not part of some kind of prank or advertisement, I fear this will not end well for her. But I'm sure the resulting memes will be hilarious.

It's so weird that "Reddit has talked about this" or "4Chan has talked about this" makes things news.

Or, I should add, what appears to be a mental illness. Particularly creepy: the map where try to triangulate where she lives! Gah.

This seems pretty awful to me. A post of a Vice documentary on ShoeNice got deleted because it was basically self harm shared to the world.
Feels like the same thing here.
