Meet the Dance of Life Dancer

Today I went to an outdoor concert in St. Louis and witnessed a unique person dancing. She was dressed in a ballet outfit, surrounded by life-size cutouts of young girls dancing, and had a table of props, including a stuffed bird, parasols and pom-poms. She was dancing energetically and joyously throughout the entire concert, videotaping herself with a small camera on a tripod. She was fascinating to watch - exuberant but also slightly off. Her signs and suitcase proclaimed she was the Dance of Life Dancer, so back at home I did some research. Her name is Susan Stone (or David Stone) and you too can see her perform next month in St. Louis.

I learned that the Dance of Life Dancer has been around for a while. Basically, she considers herself an interpretive dancer who does the dance of life, which is about life. She also has 1500 videos on YouTube. Oh - and she slashed some tires, but she says she was framed.

So many more videos online:

She explains her dancing.
Her parents accept her as transgender.
A cop made her dance in the rain.
Hear her read the story of "MY 2009 TRIP INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE AND INTO THE JUDGEMENT ROOM OF GOD" (Part 1 of 13)
"Live discrimination" when she was asked to leave a chuch.
And tons of dancing videos, like these: one, two, three, four.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Yeah, probably this wasn't your intention, but this ends up being sort of "look at this odd lady", which is not so great. -- LobsterMitten
