If you are interested in Afghan Hounds, the TRUTH about smoking, or just want to see "The Most Beautiful Pages On The WWW", take a look at hosanna1.com. Winner of the "Great Site Award", this was put together by Web and Graphics Design Consultant Lynda Farley, who also brings us award-winning art cars Freedom Van and Liberty Van.

This post was deleted for the following reason: I dig outsider web culture as much as the next guy but it feels like without some more "here's why this is actually a really interesting garish website" framing this is a little too point-and-laugh to really be a good idea. -- cortex

Beware of popups, popunders, and cheesy autoplaying music if you follow any of the myriad links.

Plus, they boycott every business or apparently state that has any kind of smoking ban, so they have that going for them.

Surely this is a joke?

Only if you think Afghan Hounds with angel wings are a joke, juiceCake. This is serious business.

I like the wings particularly, but overall I question whether this is a great post for MetaFilter. It's like the website version of Prancercise innit?

Having checked out the rad art cars, I guess I withdraw my objection and also I must see my ophthalmologist.

Her AAAWWW/why page is a gift that gives on giving... and it looks CRAPTACULAR using Chrome at 1366x768 (full screen HP laptop). Maybe I should rethink 800x600?

Now I can't stop imagining winged dogs chasing winged cats across the sky...

From the website:
"The AAA in AAA World Wide Web Design stands for Afghans, Afghans, Afghans"

Clearly they take Afghans seriously.

I don't get it. Those websites are very poorly designed. :-/

If you want a picture of the future......... imagine a blink-tagged pastel-fonted evils-of-socialist anti-smoking-laws rant (with cute angeldogs) burned into a human retina ..........forever.

I dunno, isn't this just making fun of people for poor taste and non-current web skills? Unless this is dancing with cats level irony?

Those vans are on a higher plane of awfulness that transcends poor taste and bad design.

I'm sure it wasn't entirely meant that way but this comes off as pretty mean-spirited.

I am sure the best of the web doesn't include posts where the best response is Nelson Simpson "ha! ha!" .

I love web design kitsch. It's part of the industry's culture and past and it reminds me of when the web was a more innocent and idealistic place. Shit, I wish I could get away designing stuff like this in 2013.

Is that bad? Should I not do that anymore?

"Isn't it a good thing the EPA wasn't around to tell The Lord how many carcinogens there are in a BURNT OFFERING?" as evidence that tobacco laws are Hitler is certainly a new-to-me argument.
