Noise: A Human History is a cool 30-part radio series by David Hendy in collaboration with the British Library Sound Archive and the BBC that explores the past 100,000 years of sound and listening.

David Hendy is a treasure. I've been following the series since he announced it on Twitter. Thanks for posting this!

This is cool! I was sitting at my pc the other day and while reading I could hear the fan inside it going. It occurred to me that I was listening to a noise that almost no one else in the history of Earth has heard. I like that idea.

Not recommended for listening at work. Too fascinating.

I get "There are currently no episodes of this podcast available." The only way I get to listen is to subscribe on iTunes for $25.99 here in Australia. Oh well, it sounded (hah!) intriguing.

I also only get pay versions in iTunes (I'm in Ireland) but I'm able to listen to streaming versions of the sound files on the page linked to in the FPP. It's a bit less convenient as I generally like to listen to stuff away from my computer, but this is just the sort of show I enjoy so I'm going to make the effort anyway.
