The ghostbots were created by man. They hovered. They grooved to smooth jazz. They look and feel like ghosts. And they have a plan.

The loud buzzing may or may not detract from the spookiness.

INTERIOR OF FM RADIO STATION, LATE EVENING.

DJ: "And that was Boney James with Popsicle Fantasia and I hope you're all doing alright tonight, and here's an announcement about the upcoming Winelight Festival happening at the Marina Club and oh god no NO It's not my time, Dark One, IT'S NOT MY TIME!!!"

"Mercy!" he said. "Dreadful apparition, why do you trouble me?"

"Man of the worldly mind!" replied the Ghost, "do you believe in me or not?"

"I do," said Scrooge. "I must. But why do spirits walk the earth, and why do they come to me?"

"It is required of every man to groove, and if he does not do so in life, then it is condemned to do so in death! I wear the chain I forged in life, a grooveless man who never boogied. But you are not yet dead, Scrooge, and this fate is not yet yours!"

The spirit began to hover back and forth, its horrific glowing eyes bouncing in time to the soft percussion.

The loud buzzing may or may not detract from the spookiness.

Maybe you could put some sort of reed over the fan and make it the high pitched wailing of the restless dead? I have no real conception of aerodynamics, so I'm not sure how that would foul up the flying bit.

I once, for several moments, mistook an extremely high train on an extremely high train bridge for a WTF encounter. I suspect, so will many people when that thing comes flying at them on Halloween night. Although I would skip the smooth jazz. Too mellowing to the nerves.

Smooth Jazz is the scariest bit for sure.

Pretty damned cool. I watched it for the first time with the sound off, so I had no idea how awesome the soundtrack was. Now I know exactly how awesome the soundtrack is.
