Worst Beatboxer Ever.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the definitive version of this song. This awful, awful song.

I concur.

Let's not rush to judgement. Very few of you have heard me beatbox.

I had no idea what to expect on clicking this link, but I loved every second of it. Super fun!

I dunno. The song "Rescue" by Kat-Tun was pretty big in Japan a couple of years ago, and while the beatboxing isn't quite as enthusiastically awful, for something introduced explicitly in a major single, it's still pretty incredible in its own way.

I will be incorporating all of these actions into my own future grooves. The wingflap, the fire breathe, the squeaky puss.

It would be easier to actually beatbox than to try to reproduce the sounds of beatboxing vocally without beatboxing. She's like ... a beatbox cargo cult.

This falls under the category of what I like to call the "Worst Thing Ever Rule":

Anything called the Worst Thing Ever becomes the Best Thing Ever.

That was like looking into the window of a happy family's home. The joy+irritation combination is classic, and the joy part was contagious. Thanks for this!

I guarantee, upon my user number, that I would be worse than her at beatboxing.

And that is without trying or irony or anything. Just natural (non)talent....

Wait, those are actually the words? "Sometimes I wish that my lips would build a castle / some nights I wish they'd just fall off?" That's... wow.

This is a great version.

I think this would be mildly funny if it were a one-off. The fact that this one of a series seems like "let's create a viral video" which ... meh.

(I feel I should elaborate: I don't mean my "meh" to be like "oh people are enjoying this and I think it's lame and I like people will be interested to know that." I mean something actually bothers me about how they make it look like person B wanders in and ruins person A's recording, but there's a whole series of "worst beatboxer ever" videos where the same thing happens and covering the pop song du jour with the same schtick just really seems like "and one of these days this will go viral". Why should that bother me? Good question I guess...)

I like how she does the "head asplodes" thing but with her mouth.

I can see what you mean. I don't think this is intentionally like that, though. First of all, the uploader and the people in the video don't seem to be the same people, from what I can tell. Second, probably more importantly, the entire second half of this video is outtakes, so they make it pretty clear this was a thing they sat down to do.

neuromodulator - the fact that it's a series- and that we all know it- says to me that the creators are just having fun with this silly joke. Even if they're trying to be popular, it's sincere. For what it's worth, I dig it.

I want to hear every song ever made performed in this manner. I wish there was a button I could press that would automatically convert any song on the radio into this style.

I ended up taking a look at the other videos of this duo, and I have to say I am amazed at how well the singer can keep true to the key while all that craziness is going on. Good on her!
