I would like a transcript of the meeting that resulted in this masterpiece.

All those strange structures are from the 1968 olympics.

That doesn't look like a terribly practical space outfit... unless of course she was just limbering up before climbing into her suspended animation pod... but that's just silly....or is it?

This woman is 73 years old. Your results may vary.

And the recommended follow-up video on YT is the snake dance(SLYT) from Fritz Lang's The Indian Tomb.

She came to some of the screenings when Lincoln Center had a retrospective of her films last year and she still looks fabulous.

That woman is beautiful. Anything is a good excuse to appreciate her. Extra because it's so weird that it was so long ago. Wikipedia says she was "the last star created under the studio system".

Boy is she a bad dancer though.

Neon Neon (side project of Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals) made a concept album about John DeLorean called Stainless Style. The album has a song about DeLorean's rumoured affair with Raquel Welsh, which is really great (fan video uses footage from this clip).

Gosh, that was quite roundabout, wasn't it?

When you have Rachel Welch in her prime, in a bikini, YOU DON"T NEED YOUR HIGH FALUTIN' DUTCH ANGLES!

Even if it is the 1960s.

Space bikinis are another future thing we were promised that never arrived, just like hover cars and moon colonies.

From her 1970 TV Special "Raquel!"
In 1970, Welch teamed up with Tom Jones and producer/choreographer David Winters of Winters-Rosen Productions for the television special Raquel!, considered by some viewers to be a classic pairing together of 1970s popular culture icons in their prime. The multi million-dollar television song-and-dance extravaganza was filmed around the world, from Paris to Mexico. The show featured lavish production numbers of classic songs from the era, extravagant costumes, and notable guest performances, including John Wayne and Bob Hope in the Wild West.

Wow-wee, she's got all the moves, the swim, the power strut, the reverse power strut and the flounce. This is absolutely fabulous and Mrs Ew says she wants that costume.

I did not care for the music, but the video synchs OK with the song Prisencolinensinainciusol.
