Well, thankfully the wine wasn't furry.

Speak of the devil, I was just reading this.
Diane was being insufferable -- not to mention assaulting the man. (She probably came from the time when popular culture considered it a lady's privilege to slap a man who insulted her, not that this is any excuse.) I dare say her family didn't miss her too much. Elan, however, does not deserve the mounds of internet love he will get for this. He is himself being insufferable and harassing that woman, without even the excuse that they are both sharing a backseat and SHE STARTED IT MOM.

He would never do this to a man.

I sympathize with him deeply and trenchantly but could have done without the dick eating. He lost me with that.

This is honestly about what I expected given a pedigree producing something like The Bachelor. I'm sure in the years to come, as he looks back on holidays past, this will continue to seem like the thing to have done in those circumstances.

It's like the immovable object meets the irresistible force, only with narcissistic assholes.

Fucking with people who are already mental never seems that funny to me, but that's clearly a specific culture thing, (as I've discovered since I got married). It's been suggested that urban WASPs like myself have "Don't be a smartass" tattooed on our foreheads, and that this is a trait neither universally shared nor admired.

While I understand his frustration... did he really need to send a note like that? How would that possibly help the situation?

Maybe some people should just be incepted for the length of a flight.

Disappointed but somehow not surprised he went with sexist insults. Two assholes that deserve each other.

Wow I just noticed there is a second page in which Elan surpasses any obnoxiousness that Diane even dreamed of. What an odious human being. Nothing like adding some sexual violence to the mix! And yeah- he'd never have done this to a man, especially if the man was larger than he was. Too bad she slapped him- she should have turned the notes into the flight attendents- that was straight up abuse.

"Diane, allow me to introduce myself. I am @TheYearOfElan.... Look me up online. Read every tweet. Read every response. And maybe next time you'll be nice to people who are just trying to help"

Huge literal LOL at this guy for thinking the fact that he tweeted all of this makes him the victor, or will make any difference whatsoever.

The "eat my dick" really was over the line. Sexual harassment isn't funny.

I was hoping this would end with "Reader, I married her!" because they seem like they really deserve one another.

Are people actually thinking he's not being a dick here? Take a hint buddy, let her stress out on her own.
