The Point of Facebook

I was thinking about how branding has changed because of the internet. [...] And so I finally realized what Facebook is actually for. Branding has turned from monolithic corporations to each individual branding ourselves. In the world of the internet (rife with unexpected and unintended consequences, a whole new landscape re-configuring the world’s concepts in surprising ways), we are each of us becoming a product that we are selling to the rest of the world.
