A link that leads nowhere, and PST is the clock for MetaFilter, so it won't show as 2002 yet.

How mature. Keeping in mind that where I live it's been New Year's Day for more than half a day already. Actually it's 1.30 in the afternoon and I'm just recovering from my hangover. Guess you American types aren't the first with everything after all. ;) By the way, thanks for the useless link. Keeping up that MeFi tradition into 2002 I see.

My guess this will be the first post deleted in 2002.

What a loser, at the computer at [his] midnight. Man, if you're not at a party by then, at least you should be getting some nookie.

This is the kind of post you see on Slashdot if you read at -1.

Let's stop "First Posts!" right now.

This is so sad. It's only a few hours into the new year, and already someone has posted the greatest fpp of 2002. It's all down hill from here, folks.

Wow, someone named Okada, Yoshiki had the brilliant entrepeneurial forethought to register the domain name 2002.com. Apparently all the other domains are taken until 2005.com. Quick, grab 2006.com while it's hot!

At least brag if you were measuring via GMT...

*waves a little flag* yay new year? On one the forums that I go on a guy messed up the time so that it's an hour and 37 minutes behind GMT. Me and my friends were racing to get the first post of the new year on there, but none of us managed to get it exactly on 00:00 but all on 00:01!

That is to prove the fickleness of computers.

That address is taken too. As of a few weeks ago, the lowest number-dot-com address that was available was 5437.com.

Sorry everybody but no e-mail alternative:

Hey {savg*pncl}, this is way off-topic but I notice from your user profile you're a calligrapher. One of my daughters is very interested in calligraphy. As am I. Would you be kinf enough to recommend a website or two? There are so many and I'd appreciate a wise word. Thanks!
