The name of the site lies, but I really like Daily Idioms, Annotated.

I keep the OED and M-W in my rss reader. Some of these look fun to mix in as well!

The Transparent Language site has a Word of the Day feature (I frequent the Arabic one). They also have great free language blogs and FB / Twitter content! (And no I don't work for them......)

I'd been determined to improve my vocabulary

In high school, I had a friend who read the dictionary for this exact purpose. She was interesting like that. (Well, she still is interesting, but in different, less odd ways.)

None of the links in the OLDO RSS feeds seem to work. (The links in the OP to the RSS feeds themselves work but following the links served up by the feeds take me to an error page.)

Thanks for those RSS links; I'll be adding some feeds today!

Love the Sesame Street site. Nice use of the cast of Law and Order: SVU.
