Parents recreate movie scenes with their baby and a lot of cardboard

Welcome to Cardboard Box Office. "The project began after finding that we had accumulated both a lot of cardboard boxes (due to moving to a new country) and a baby (due to giving birth)."

They really need to do Logan's Run, just so they can all go "Box... Box..."

Plus, you can't go wrong with "Fish and sea greens, plankton and protein from the sea," can you?

I think the primary reason to have children is so you can mess with them.

Sometimes it depresses me how much better other parents are at it.

I swear some people engender fruit of their loins just so they can use them as life props.

And why not?!

What a beautiful tyrannosaurus that is!

The best part is the tiny teddy bear Chewbacca in the Star Wars one.

How do people who do this stuff have the time? Do they drug the kids a couple hours a day?

They only have one. The second will leave them weeping in their free time like the rest of us.

The good, the bad and the ugly one is genius.

I sent this link to my adult daughter.

Subject line: It could have been worse. . . .

Children used to be necessary for future extra farmhands. Now they're necessary for farming extra Reddit karma.

I can't help thinking we could outsource this it to China or somewhere.

Free time? What is this concept and why aren't they spending it sleeping?

A couple of these are cute, but the self-conscious branding ruins it completely.

Yeah, I feel awfully scroogeish saying this but the site is trying so, so hard to go viral (does that feel like an outdated thing to say now?) that for me it totally takes the edge off the cute.

Sure, any blog like this is going to be done partly for the fun of it and party for the exposure, but this swings so hard toward the latter it just reeks of Hey Give Us Some Of That Grumpy Cat Money.

I shall now resume my workday of closing orphanages at Christmas, etc.

It is. And the Dad works in marketing (I have seen claimed and suspect us true). And they use Photoshop. And I half expected this to be deleted. But it's no worse than the Jammies videocard, and it's actually more cool because of BABY!
And I hate kids.
I hate Christmas.

But I think we all know it's the silly season, and this post fits the bill.

Brilliant. I just came back to say that a kinder take would be that this looks like two social media execs trying to make a cute blog with their kid and finding themselves totally unable to escape the ingrained methods of their trade... =)

I have only read that fact, and they live in Sydney, NSW. But I can believe it.

I think we all know how that will work out.

Sure, but they can't white balance for shit.

I like this a lot. So many of these things are all about "MY BABY IS THE CUTEST HUMAN EVER MADE" and "I'M SO CRAFTY I MAKE PEOPLE" (yes I have actually seen that). But in this one the baby is just a prop and it's mom & dad having all the fun. I'm jealous, but in a good way.
