Recent uploads to photobucket.

I imagine it varies by time of day however even at an approximately 15 second refresh rate I mostly see new pictures every time.

...as of right now, food, home stuck, Dylan O'Brain with his mouth hanging open, cartoons, and gifs.

So basically ....any tumblr feed on any given night.

There used to be one of these for Livejournal, which was unbelievably addictive. Eventually it turned into 80% pictures of Russian teenagers and 20% deviantart reposts.

Wup, wait, it still exists.

Looks like someone just uploaded a full album full of costumed shenanigans at a theme park.

Who are these guys and how can I meet them.

This is even more boring than Facebook.

(But also kind of great.)

Something similar for Instagram, by city. Just select one from the list.

MetaFilter user quarantine also did one of these for Twitter: Picflood

It gets very NSFW, very quickly.

People still use Photobucket in 2013?
posted by entropicamericana at 2:02 PM on December 30, 2013

There used to be a site like this that ONLY showed nudes on photobucket.

I have no idea how they were filtering them out, since it wasn't just like "image is predominantly skin" or anything. And it wasn't manually curated, because every time you hit F5 there were new pics.

I have no idea if it's still up, nor do i remember specifically what it was called(and it changed URLs a few times)... but heh, had some fun times with that in high school in the earlier 2000s.

Which, worth noting, PB is 10 years old now o_o

I thought that was going to be a pic of Tom Cruise smiling.

Mostly, this is junk-- I'm talking to you, dude who has flooded the feed with approximately 600,000 photos of his albino python.

But then you stumble upon something this hot and it's all worthwhile.

Freaky, no matter how quickly I refresh, I never see the same image twice. Are there that many people using the service, or is there a programming trick on the back-end to prevent me from seeing how slowly new items arrive?
posted by mathowie at 2:56 PM on December 30, 2013

I am very much enjoying the surrealism.

Here's me in a park. Here's me with a half dozen different attempts at a self-portrait. Here's a detail of a broken coffee cup holder. And a pie. Here's me striking 'gangland' poses. Here's a picture of a fly perched atop a bowling ball...

The prospect of a sewing machine making love to an umbrella on an operating table now strikes me as increasingly mundane.

entropicamericana: "People still use Photobucket in 2013?"

Photobucket had amazing uptake by car forums for one and once those guys start using something they'll keep with it until you pry it from their cold dead hands.

mathowie: "Freaky, no matter how quickly I refresh, I never see the same image twice. Are there that many people using the service, or is there a programming trick on the back-end to prevent me from seeing how slowly new items arrive?"

During the hour or so I spent deciding whether to post this there were lulls where an image would last over a refresh. I think it's just the throughput is that high.

Yup, first thing that came up was handdrawn Cthulhu porn.

I saw the same image twice several times when refreshing quickly. I think they actually:

(1) hold block of the newest, say, 100 images every few dozen seconds
(2) show you fifteen randomly selected
(3) throw out the oldest and add the newest on a rotational basis.

If it weren't for this post I would never have seen a man begging for a woman to come back to him while reminding her he used to beat her and cheated on her with an American woman, but he did these things for her. I didn't make it all the way through.

I am surprised how many n00dz people report seeing - I have a Photobucket account for throwaway forum posts, and they delete even the most modest and/or scientific nudity from my account with alarming speed.

Of course, if it doesn't resemble a human body, it will escape their attention longer. I know this for... reasons.

I don't know, I might be missing cultural cues but I'm 50% convinced this one is a parody. Especially once the props come in. But for me watching that video sends me bouncing back and forth between judgment, heartbreak, and hilarity. Pretty good if it is satire.

I used to think these were fun, and like many used to enjoy looking at the Livejournal one back in the day.
Then came the gore porn, and I have been afraid to trust ever since.

So most of what I've seen since last night has been baby and event pictures. It's uncomfortably voyeuristic but I keep reloading. There had been a modicum of porn, but mostly that appears to be deliberate spam (trolling?) - like the related account had seventy poorly shot images of a Happy dog playing in the snow followed by ten obviously unrelated NSFW entries.

Mezentian - no Gore porn so far. Heck, no food porn so far which makes me question if this is really the Internet.
