Skywriting "God is great" scares bejesus out of Palm Beach residents, assuming the message might be the beginning of a terrorist attack. Is this any different than skywriting "Allah is great," and would the pilot have been treated any differently?

Only one comment from idiotic townspeople: "We were out by the pool," one of them said, too afraid to give her name. "We were ready to take cover." Too afraid to give her name? I did a google image search for a picture but couldn't find anything.

If people flipped out over "God is Great," I'd guess that "Allah is Great" (Allaho Akbar) would cause even more panic (even though it means the same thing, Allah being the word for God). I was trying to imagine how I'd react if this sort of thing happened in my sky--I'd probably panic, too. Ever since 9-11, I'm just a little more jumpy.

I would be the pilot would get a much different treatment if the message were "God is Dead." If I had a cropspitter, I would try it there.
