sodaconstructor allows you to construct basic shapes using lines, joints, and "muscles" and adjust the settings (gravity, and I'm guessing that f and k stand for force and kinetics but I could be wrong) to create "living" creatures.

I believe "k" is the spring coefficient - from mushy to firm.

I simply searched for the string "soda" and found it pretty quickly. I'm not greatly annoyed by your post though, it's a great link and many newer users may not have been around then.

I was around then but I don't remember running into this last time. So I got to waste a lot of time with this thing now as opposed to then. I couldn't even build a walking triangle. I don't understand how the springs and muscles work. Fixed mass versus free masses. It just hurt my head. Sometimes it's good to see a link repeated. In fact it might be cool if people occasionally revisited links that are a year or more old and bring them back to the front page on purpose, particularly if something new has happened to the link since then, or if it's just amazing that the link is still there. Of course that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I've considered posting sodaplay a few times over the last couple of months. It's a great site. I've submitted a few posts for the Sodazoo but never had one accepted. I guess "Dog dragging its ass on the carpet" just doesn't strike their fancy as much as mine.

Great link, who cares if it pops up once or twice year? Good idea, let's double the size of the MeFi database with repeated links. That'd be so much easier to keep up with. We can just post the same five links everyday! Awesome!
