I love the US map shown on the moon. That's the first thing that really gave me an idea of how small (and big!) the moon is.

Well, the British first invaded Canada in 1583 when they founded their first North American colony there (since, there were, you know, already people living there at the time.) And there was also the British conquest of Acadia during Queen Anne's War. And also the Battle of the Plains of Abraham and Battle of Fort Niagara in 1759, and the Battle of the Thousand Islands and Battle of Sainte-Foy in 1760.
