Man, sometimes nerds are the best.

I love that they decided to take on the POV of Alfre Woodard's character, Lily Sloane. She's one of my favorite parts of that movie, and while I don't love that her arc is entirely centered around Picard and his Borg Feelings, Woodard totally sells the material. (I wish she'd had more time on screen and more business of her own to take care of -- perhaps I'll have to go rooting around AO3 to see if any ambitious fanwriters agree with me.)

Every person I know who has seen that movie has gone totally gaga over it, especially that song. I couldn't believe they gave the Golden Globe for "Best Song" to Bono for some song I had never heard of instead.
