B E A U T Y. "A path of sighs through the emotions of life. A tribute to the art and her disarming beauty." A short video by Rino Stefano Tagliafierro. [Via, possibly nsfw]
If that's supposed to be a setting sun at 8:14, then the crescent moon is all wrong.

That was messed up and cool.
That whole genre/era of painting when Bourgereau flourished, the ludicrously over-realistic, voyeuristic renderings of classical or romantic subjects, is such a strange thing to begin with, and bringing it to an odd semblance of slow-motion life like that just takes the weird to another level.
Loved it.

Uncanny Chasm.
This evokes unease all out of proportion to the source material.
Excellent.

I was just about to post this and went to change the "Kinda NSFW I guess maybe?" to just "Kinda NSFW" and then the link catcher caught it.

Oh wow. Just finished watching it completely. I couldn't watch more than a minute because it seemed to eroticize kids way too much and I didn't feel comfortable at all with that. But now I just watched the whole thing and - wow - it's not just kitschy sensuality it gets dark, wonderfully dark in a way that makes the beginning a prelude in a completely different light.
Nice one homunculus!

As an alternative to the tumblr (linked in tribute to the art), here's a list of pieces by artist and title of the work.
