Pee on a plane and get 20......years.After consuming alcohol, prescription sleeping tablets and cocaine, Rodrigo Deambrosio urinated on seats and threatened to bring the plane down. He may now face 20 years if convicted. Mr. Deambrosio insists it was the drugs he consumed but we all know it was the United Airlines service that drove him to his fit of rage.

Urination is one thing. Threatening to bring down the plane is another. However serious and/or loaded he was, you don't do that or people (i.e. the gov't) get mad. Its like saying you've got a bomb on a plane - it's a federal crime.

After reading the story, I'd have no problem smacking this guy with a year or two in jail. Making threats on an airplane, especially when you back it up with comments stating you know how to circumvent the security, is wrong and should be punished.
This wasn't just a simple "I'll get you!" statement.

The man's a moron. Sleeping tablets and cocaine? What the hell would be the point of that? And why would anybody get coked up before getting on an airplane? Heroin I could understand, but cocaine? If nothing else, he's got criminally poor judgement.

Kill someone while driving under the influence and pay the price. Wait, you don't have to even kill someone, just drive under the influence and get more than a slap on the wrist. Threaten to bring down a plane, sober or not, pay the price. Being intoxicated isn't really an excuse, is it? legally that is, anyone? ..nor is ignorance.

...that and read the label, and don't do drugs.

Recently, i flew to Australia on *business*. On the 14 hour leg of the journey, to Singapore, the man in front of me, who was clearly drunk when he boarded the plane, p*ssed all over his seat.

He was loud and obnoxious and the stewards kept giving him alcohol (i suppose it did eventually keep him quiet) the downside was that he continued to p*ss all over the seats.

After a few complaints from other passengers, the stewards poured ground coffee on the floor around the seats. After a while, due to the air conditioning, the air was full of coffee grounds smelling of urine. i complained to one of the stewards who said: "what would you prefer, coffee or urine?"
"Coffee please, but i didn't realise the urine was on the beverage menu" said I (swiftly and with a slightly raised eyebrow)

The steward merely scowled, but he did bring me my coffee.

Personally, i'd have given the drunken p*ss man 20 years.

You are right. Drunk or not, he should have been let off the airplane; preferrably while still in the air.
