tom, are you trolling you sly dog?

you know , the "love it or leave it" crowd leave me befuddled. Here is where I lose it: The premise is that the US of A is the pillar of democracy, freedom and justice. But if you disagree with any policy or politic of the governing body, and exercise your most cherished freedom (speech) , "love it or leave it " is invoked. Are US citizens really so slow they cannot see the contradiction? Is every love it or leave it statement a sarcastic joke that I just don't get (I hope so)?
