This is a really cool take on film criticism! Love that they speak with the cinematographers. It shows how much thought and intentional are going into a second of film that you might not consciously really notice, but which nonetheless creates a powerful effect. This is the first time I've really noticed the cotton one from Django.

Thanks for the link---these are fascinating! Directors often get credit for the cinematographer's work, so it's nice to see a list that focuses on the image-making through the people doing it. I always like to see film criticism that isn't focused on the written elements.
