This post was deleted for the following reason: Eh, sprawling no-attribution text-as-jpeg listicle sort of deal is kinda thin for a post. -- cortex

People don't understand the concept of files, and don't know how to use Windows Explorer or the Finder.

I blame Apple and Microsoft for abstracting away (but not eliminating the need to know about) this crucial part of modern computing.

The "preferred" process for launching an app in OS X seems to be "Hope the app is in the dock, and hope that 'advanced' users might try looking in Launchpad if they can't find it in the dock...."

THIS, above all else, is what drives me nuts about supporting computing users today (and that includes many users who really should know better.

Of course, Apple's insane iCloud metaphor doesn't help things very much (I'm a developer, and I can't come up with a good one-sentence summary of what iCloud is, that doesn't simplify things to the point of being borderline-incorrect).

Oh. Also, people who use Excel as a database.

Professionals who use Excel as a database.

Professionals statisticians and analysts who use Excel as a database.
